Patient/Visitor Amenities

At ProMedica Toledo Children’s Hospital, we're committed to making you and your child as comfortable as possible while in the hospital. We'll make sure that you have access to the accommodations and services that are important in your child's life. Please learn more about the patient and visitor amenities listed below, or read more in our patient services guide.

Parents are a child's primary support and a child’s dependency on his or her parents increases during illness. Parents are encouraged to stay with their child as much as possible, as they can help the child’s progress and may even facilitate a rapid recovery.

A pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) sleep room is available 24 hours a day for families with a child in the PICU.

Ronald McDonald House®

Family members who have children at Toledo Children’s Hospital and live outside the city of Toledo may wish to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, located just one block from the hospital on the corner of ProMedica Parkway and Monroe Street. The Ronald McDonald House can provide a family needed respite and a sense of understanding with other families staying at the house.

In addition, accommodations for sleeping, eating, recreation, and laundry are also available. Even if families choose not to sleep at the Ronald McDonald House, they are provided access to the other facilities. The house is locked at all times, to provide security for families, and is staffed 24 hours a day by a resident manager and volunteers.

Arrangements to visit or stay at the Ronald McDonald House may be made through a nurse, patient representative or social worker. Toledo Children's Hospital provides transportation to and from the house, or families can choose to have one car parked at the house. The Ronald McDonald House does not accept advance reservations and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please visit www.rmhctoledo.org for more information.

Information about additional accommodations can be obtained through patient and family services representatives. To make arrangements to stay at the Ronald McDonald House or a local hotel, please speak with a staff member or call 419-291-4007.
