Providing Care and Hope for Young Patients
The pediatric orthopaedic professionals and programs at the ProMedica Orthopaedic Institute are focused on helping children and their families regain healthy lives. These professionals meet the health needs of children experiencing a range of conditions, from developmental delays to abnormalities.
Unlike the care of adults seeking orthopaedic care, lessening and eliminating pain is not the biggest challenge in pediatric orthopaedics. Instead, the focus is on addressing deformities such as hip dysplasia, club feet, crooked spines or legs of unequal length. The goal is to understand why these children have these conditions and how to intervene to change the natural history.
