A cancer diagnosis can be devastating, especially for children and their families, but state-of-the art and compassionate pediatric cancer care is offered close-to-home at the Debbie Brass Children’s Cancer Center on the campus of ProMedica Toledo Children’s Hospital. The center is dedicated to providing outstanding, specialized cancer care for children, while helping them and their families navigate through the treatment process.
At the center, our multidisciplinary team treats all hematologic disorders, including sickle cell disease, bleeding disorders and cancers. We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient services for children and young adults. Additionally, we understand that care encompasses far more than the physical needs of your child. With that in mind, we offer support for the psychosocial and emotional needs of patients and their families through our child life program.
When your child needs treatment for cancer or other hematologic disorders, you can trust that our staff is well equipped to handle her or his unique requirements for care. Toledo Children’s Hospital has received the American College of Surgeons Accreditation with Commendation as a Network Comprehensive Cancer Program and the American College of Radiology Accreditation.

ProMedica Toledo Children’s Hospital is committed to providing patients with access to new cancer protocols and research activities. More than 80% of our patients participate in national Phase II and Phase III cooperative trials through the Children’s Oncology Group. Allowing our patients to access to these trials ensures that we are offering the latest cancer treatments available.
Navigating the cancer journey can be difficult, but the good news is that you do not have to go through it alone. In addition to the many physicians and cancer specialists who practice at ProMedica’s cancer centers and hospitals, ProMedica also employs numerous medical oncologists and other cancer specialists.
