Nancy was only 24 when she began golfing. After working at Loudon Meadows Golf Course for 26 years, it would not be a stretch to assume Nancy grew to love the sport. Unfortunately, one of the things she enjoyed most in life became too painful to play.
Nancy knew she needed surgery, but kept putting it off. After talking to her family doctor about the pain, she agreed to talk to an orthopedic surgeon about her options.
From the beginning, Nancy was very impressed with Dr. Brian Hecht, a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, and the team at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital. “I knew I was in good hands,” she said. “It was comforting to know I knew so many people who worked there too.”
Nancy felt a sense of relief after the surgery. “Everything went the way it was supposed to go,” she said. “I had no complications and was only in the hospital for three days.”
Although Nancy no longer works at the golf course, she enjoys golfing regularly with friends and family. “I have no regrets about my knee replacement surgery,” added Nancy. “The funny thing is I still catch myself limping because I had to do it for so long. I feel great though and believe this surgery has got me back to enjoying an important part of my life.”
