Flower Hospital Quality Reports

Flower Hospital received the Ohio Partnership for Excellence Gold Level Award in 2006, 2008 and 2011. In 2012, Flower Hospital was recognized with the highest honor in Ohio from The Partnership for Excellence (formerly OPE) and was presented with the Governor’s Award (Platinum Level). Based on criteria of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, this achievement recognizes organizations that demonstrate, through commitment and practice, significant progress toward excellence.

On September 8, 2012, ProMedica Flower Hospital was accredited by The Joint Commission for all services surveyed for the requirements of the Hospital Accreditation Program, which is valid for up to 36 months.

ProMedica Flower Hospital continues to be a Primary Stroke Center by passing the accreditation process defined by The Joint Commission. This designation recognizes Flower Hospital’s exceptional efforts to foster better outcomes for stroke care. Flower Hospital has also been awarded the Gold Plus status by Get with The Guidelines® from the American Heart Association by meeting standards for patient care through evidenced based practice.

In May 2013, the ProMedica Cancer Institute underwent an accreditation survey by the American College of Surgeons and received a full three year Accreditation with Commendation.
