Our staff will check in with you often to see if we can do anything to improve your stay, and we will take all appropriate steps to ensure your safety and confidentiality. We also care about your health after your visit. When you're ready to return home, our hospital staff may work with you to develop a plan for any further care that you may need on your road to recovery.

Hospital pricing and payment can be topics of concern for many patients. We at ProMedica are committed to communicating with you in advance so that you know what to expect when it comes to the cost of services. Our pricing specialist can review your insurance benefits for the services your doctor has ordered to provide you with an estimate of your final bill. We have provided hospital pricing for the most common healthcare services at Flower Hospital for your convenience. Rest is an important part of your care. But, we know that family and friends can help make your hospital stay more pleasant. Unless the physician does not recommend visitors or the patient prefers not to have visitors, Flower Hospital has a flexible visiting hour policy. Please check the unit posting or ask a nurse for that unit’s visiting hours.
All ProMedica campuses, including Flower Hospital, are tobacco-free, indoors and outdoors. This includes our lawns, walkways, sidewalks, parking lots (including inside vehicles) and any other grounds that ProMedica maintains. As a courtesy, please also be considerate of our neighbors and avoid littering and loitering on properties that surround our campus.

Flower Hospital strives to meet or exceed your expectations. If there is any reason that you cannot say that your care has been “excellent,” please contact the department manager or the patient advocate at 419-824-1879, or call the hospital operator by dialing “0” on your room phone. The representative will assist you with any complaints or provide additional help during your stay.
Flower Hospital offers free translation services in 140 languages for people who have difficulty speaking English. If you or your family needs this assistance, ask your nurse or the admitting clerk.
We realize that one of the first things most people think about when they are admitted to the hospital is going home. Getting you well enough to go home is our goal, too. When it’s time to go, please remember: to make sure you have all of your personal belongings; and to tell your nurse if you need help arranging transportation.
Our team is with you through every step of the healing process. To ensure that you receive seamless care even after your discharge from the hospital, our social worker/discharge planner may work with your nurse and doctor to arrange home health care, skilled nursing or hospice services.
Paying Your Bill
Flower Hospital actively works to contain costs while providing quality care. To achieve this goal, patients are responsible for paying copayments, deductibles or fees for non-covered services at the time of service.
Your bill will reflect the cost of your room, nursing care, meals, housekeeping, linens, tests, medical or surgical procedures, drugs, supplies, and special services such as physical or respiratory therapy. These charges do not include the professional services of your physician, surgeon, anesthetist, or other consultants. Some of these services must be paid to the individual physician offices and not to the hospital.
The hospital provides basic, medically necessary services free of charge to patients who are eligible for the Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP). In addition to HCAP, uninsured patients are eligible for the ProMedica Financial Assistance Program. Patients are responsible for paying co-payments, deductibles or fees for non-covered services at the time of service. ProMedica Toledo Hospital accepts cash, check/money order, and credit and debit cards including VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
