The diagnosis and treatment of language, hearing, and voice disorders in children from birth to age three are performed by audiology specialists at ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital. Children are seen as needed by specialists for medical evaluation, counseling, hearing aids, and cochlear implants.
Collaboratively, Toledo Children's Hospital and ProMedica Flower Hospital are the lead agency for the state-funded regional infant hearing program (RIHP). RIHP is a grant-funded Ohio Department of Health program working with Help Me Grow to assist families in the diagnosis and treatment of children with hearing loss.
