ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital Hosts Annual Community Health and Wellness Fair
posted on: 05/08/2014FOSTORIA, OHIO, May 8, 2014 – ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital and Fostoria Area Health Ministry will host the annual Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Health Fair Wed., May 21, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Stacy’s Place (former UAW Hall), 625 Plaza Dr., Fostoria.
Focused on improving health and well-being, a number of free screenings will be available to participants and include blood pressure, blood sugar, body fat analysis, bone density, skin damage, osteoporosis/bone density, diabetic foot screen provided by David Bettenhausen, DPM, and more. A cholesterol/stroke screen will be offered for a minimal $10 fee.
The health fair features an educational program series that includes helpful information from local experts. All programs will be held in the small meeting room at Stacy’s Place, and will last approximately 20 minutes. Individuals who attend one more of the programs will have a chance to win one of 50 premium door prizes.
In addition, more than 55 information booths including local, regional and state organizations will be onsite to provide resource information and give away materials and promotional items.
A complimentary light lunch will be offered to the first 300 attendees courtesy of John Irwin, Edward Jones®.
