A busy mother of three, Julie lives to be active and play with her daughters, but her hip pain made it nearly impossible to keep up. Even basic daily activities were difficult to do, including carrying the laundry up the stairs and sleeping at night.
After years of conservative treatment and visits to numerous doctors, Julie’s orthopaedic surgeon recommended a total hip replacement. She elected to have surgery at the new, state-of-the-art ProMedica Wildwood Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital.
During her stay, Julie was amazed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. “They had me up walking around [after my surgery] immediately,” she said. She grew to enjoy the nurses and therapists so much that she did not want to leave.
Julie was also impressed by the facility itself and the beautiful features that made it seem unlike a typical hospital. “It was a happy place to be,” she said.
Now, Julie is getting back to the things she loves to do, including taking long bike rides, kneeling down to play with sidewalk chalk and swimming after her daughters. She’s appreciative of the hospital saying, “With all the amenities offered to me, they are making [recovery] easy.”
Julie continued, “When people ask about ProMedica Wildwood Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital, I cannot say enough positive things about it.”
