Critical Care Transports
When minutes matter during a medical emergency, ProMedica Air & Mobile’s helicopter and ambulance teams provide fast and safe transport of critically-ill or injured patients between facilities or directly from an accident scene to a trauma center.
Staffed with specially-trained paramedics and critical care registered nurses, ProMedica Mobile’s ambulances are equipped to provide both basic and advanced life support, and sophisticated equipment to support bariatric patients.
Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICU) are available to transport patients requiring ICU level of services during a ground inter-facility transport. These specialized units are staffed with critical care nurses, critical care trained paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMT).
ProMedica Air uses Metro Aviation, Inc.* to provide ProMedica Air with highly qualified, experienced pilots and mechanics. Extensive ongoing training, certification and safety programs help ensure the safety of patients and crew at all times.
*Metro Aviation, Inc. owns and operates ProMedica Air’s helicopters and maintains operational control for ProMedica Air.
