ProMedica Flower Hospital

ProMedica Flower Hospital is the largest provider of adult inpatient psychiatric care in northwest Ohio. As such, we have a large team of psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, and other professionals who make it their mission to provide a stable, calming environment. As a patient, you will be treated based on your specific needs. As a patient’s loved one or caregiver, we provide support you or your loved one during their recovery.

We take pride in our specialized care units, which include acute care (419-824-1319) and care for the severely and mentally ill (419-824-1734). ProMedica Flower Hospital also provides geriatric psychiatric treatment that is tailored to our senior population (419-824-1310) and a psychiatric intensive care unit that offers constant, well-supervised care for patients who have intense psychiatric needs. The supportive and compassionate treatment programs offered at ProMedica Toledo Hospital are designed so that you as a patient take an active role in your recovery. Our goal is to give you or your loved one the level of care needed for the specific illness you are facing. If the patient desires and approves, the treatment team can expand to include loved ones, employers, and spiritual or religious advisors.

We also provide emergency service and crisis intervention for psychiatric needs and substance abuse problems. We have a psychiatric intensive care unit for those with major need for observation and supervision.

The Child/Adolescent Behavioral Medicine Program at Toledo Children's Hospital offers a range of inpatient and outpatient services designed to meet the specific needs of children and adolescents.

The Coping Center at ProMedica Defiance Regional Medical Center offers stabilizing, therapeutic adult inpatient psychiatric services in a calm environment. Our staff uses a wide variety of treatment approaches to help you or your loved one: cognitive therapy, group psychotherapy, educational groups, activity therapy, medication adjustment, outpatient linkage, and family involvement, as appropriate. No matter what level of care you or your loved one needs, the Coping Center can assist you. In addition to our outpatient counseling, we also have an intensive care unit,
a general psychiatric unit, and emergency evaluation through ProMedica Defiance Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Center.
